Never Alone

SCRIPTURE

Joshua 1:1-9 Old Testament

After Moses died God appointed Joshua, his aide, to take his people into the promised land by saying, "I will never forsake you.  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go."

This is one of the most comforting scriptures in the Old Testament directly spoken by God to Joshua. Joshua became Moses's faithful helper/assistant (faithful to God as well) as a very young man.  He was in this capacity for 40 years .  God chose him, not Moses.  He became one of Israel's greatest leaders .  In this scripture and in Romans 8:15 which states, "If God is for us, who could be against us?" is indeed reassuring for us in life.

LESSON

Trust and have unwavering faith in God's promises. God will always, always be with you even as you face hardships and peril.  Sometimes it's hard to do, but hold fast. God/Jesus never promised that we wouldn't have trials and tribulations/sufferings, BUT He will always be there carrying you.  Trust His promises with courage, faith, and obedience.💕
