Welcome to Devotions From Grandma

I am a grandma who dearly loves her granddaughter.  I am in the winter of my life and want to instill my love for Jesus into my pre-teenager as she approaches the challenging years ahead.

I am creating these devotions with the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, and prayerfully hope she can experience the joy and comfort I feel, and have felt, all my life.  I hope to leave her a legacy of Christian hope, trust, and love. 

These devotions are my thoughts and belief in a Savior who has faithfully held me tightly all my years.  I am redeemed by Him; He has called me by my name and so I do not fear (Isaiah 43.1).

I address these devotions to All Children of the Light, for you too are redeemed and called by your name!  You are God's beloved.

Scripture in these devotions is based on the NIV translation of the Bible.   The devotions are written on a sixth grade reading level and are created for people who may have little pre-knowledge of the Bible.  I provide background and historical information for better comprehension.  Yes, I was a reading teacher!  My signature is 💞.

Anyone of any age may read these devotions.  Keep in mind however, the content including vocabulary and recipient's background knowledge of the Bible and its stories are created for youths 13 to 15 years old.  However, if a person under age 13 wants to, it must be with the permission of a parent or guardian.  No data will be collected from my readership.

I did edit to the best of my ability before I sent them to my grand.  They are not perfectly and professionally edited, however.  Please excuse the sometimes misspellings, grammar, and punctuation errors.

These devotions are written from my heart to my special one.  Please take them as they stand.
